IAF Gets Its First Apache Guardian Attack Helicopter

The first Apache Guardian attack helicopter was handed over to the Indian Air Force(IAF) in Arizona by US aerospace major Boeing on Friday.

Air Marshal AS Butola accepted the fist Apache Guardian at the Boeing production facility.

The AH-64E Apache Guardian is an advance attack helicopter that can engage in both Air and Ground targets. AH-64E Apache is one of the leading multi-role attack helicopter globally and is flown by the US Army.

The Indian government had placed an order for 22 AH- 64 E Apache helicopters as a part of a $1.4 billion deal that was signed in September 2015.
