IPL KKR vs KXIP: Upbeat KKR keeps playoff hopes alive

Shubman Gill playing in front of his home crowd, struck second consecutive half century to take KKR home.

Kings XI Punjab had set the target of 184 for victory, Shubman Gill opened the batting with Chris Lynn.

Chris Lynn gave KKR good start, Gill took the time and played the second fiddle to Lynn but after his dismissal Gill showed great his full range of shots.

Gill scored 65 not out(49b 4×5, 2×6) and Lynn scored 46(22b 4×4, 3×6) added 62 for first wicket.

Earlier it was Sam Curran’s 55 not out(24b 4×7, 6×2) heroic knock which helped KXIP to reach a challenging total of 183 for 6.

KKR has kept their hopes alive with this triumph.
