Bette Davis and Joan Crawford
The feud is said to have started because Davis was in love with the actor Franchot Tone, who was snapped up and married by Crawford. Things got worse when they starred together in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? both suffered physical injury said to be caused by the other. Both gave stellar performances, but only Davis was nominated for an Oscar, Crawford rang all the other nominees offering to pick up the award on their behalf if they won. As it turned out Anne Bancroft could not attend, so Crawford picked up her award. They never got over the feud, on hearing of Crawford’s death Davis is alleged to have remarked “You should never say bad things about the dead, you should only say good. Joan Crawford is dead. Good!”
Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine.
The two sisters are a classic case of sibling rivalry, battling for the same parts, lovers and awards. Fontaine was the first of the two, to win an Oscar, five years later, de Havilland snubbed her sister’s congratulations, which was caught on camera.
Elizabeth Taylor and Debbie Reynolds.
Man trouble was the start of this feud, Taylor had recently lost her husband in a plane crash, she found solace and later a new husband in the singer Eddie Fisher. The problem was at this time he was still married to her good friend Reynolds. The two made up in 1966.
Michael Jackson and Prince.
Different musical styles are said to be at the root of this feud, Prince later went on to turn down Wesley Snipes’ role in the “bad” video. Prince showed his petty side during a concert, playing his guitar right in front of Jackson’s face. They never reconciled.
David Letterman and Jay Leno.
Johnny Carson retired, so the Tonight Show hosts job was up for grabs and many thought Letterman was favorite. NBC gave the job to Leno, sparking a feud which peaked when Letterman moved to CBS to host a show airing at the same time as Lenos. They later made up.
Axl Rose – Wikipedia and Slash (musician)
Trouble started when Slash announced a musical collaboration with Michael Jackson, this was 1991 and after the continued conflict, Slash left the band in 1996. It became known later that Rose had suffered sexual abuse as a child and thought it was wrong to work with someone wildly rumored to have “inappropriate relationships” with children. They have since reconciled.

Tupac was shot five times and robbed in a music studio, it is alleged by a reporter that Biggie knew about it a week before it happened. Nothing was ever proven, but a line in the sand had been drawn between West Coast and East Coast crews. The rivalry continued between the two rappers. dissing each other in Rap songs, only ending when Tupac was killed in 1996 followed by Biggie a year afterward.

They were due to star together in the movie “The Lords of Flatbush”, but they just did not get along, Stallone said of Gere “He would strut around in his oversized motorcycle jacket like he was the worst knight at the round table.” It came to a head when Gere spilled chicken grease on Stallone’s trousers, he elbowed Gere in the side of the head and pushed him out of the car they were sitting in.
Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte.
This seems a case of hate at first sight, on the set of the movie “I Love Trouble” they had to shoot scenes separately and use stand-ins for romantic scenes. Julia said that he was charming and completely disgusting, Nolte said she is not a nice person and everyone knows it.
Will Smith and Janet Hubert.
Both clashed on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (TV Series 1990–1996) Hubert was eventually replaced and remains vocal about her feud to this day.
Selma Blair and Charlie Sheen
Feuded on the set of Anger Management (TV Series 2012–2014) because of a lack of work ethic on Sheen’s part. Sheen is said to have fired Blair by text, calling her a c**t.
