On the undercard, Braun Strowman defeated Roman Reigns in an ambulance match and Bray Wyatt defeated Seth Rollins. In another prominent match, Cesaro and Sheamus retained the Raw Tag Team Championship against The Hardy Boyz in a 30-minute Iron Man match.

WWE Great Balls of Fire may have sounded like a joke when it was first announced, but it wound up being an incredible first edition of the new Raw-brand pay-per-view card. The lead up to Sunday’s PPV featured two of the best rivalry builds in all of 2017.

Roman Reigns unleashed all-out chaos in the wake of his Ambulance Match against Braun Strowman, Cesaro & Sheamus went to war against The Hardy Boyz in a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match for the Raw Tag Team Championship and Brock Lesnar’s defended the Universal Championship against a game Samoa Joe.

Brock Lesnar beats Samoa Joe via pinfall (Universal Championship)

Joe attacks Brock during Heyman’s intro before the bell and unloads on Brock, sending him into the barricade, then slamming him through the announce table!!!! Heyman is in shock as Brock tries to get up. Brock stumbles to his feet and slowly gets back in. Brock smiles and says he’s ready.

Lesnar took Samoa Joe to Suplex City on six occasions and fought off three Coquina Clutch attempts, including a final one late in the match that turned Lesnar’s face purple. Lesnar reversed the final choke attempt by putting Joe on his back, standing up and hitting an F5 for the 1-2-3.
